I left the BlueRoom unlocked this morning. The building opens around 7:45 if you would like to swing by and grab anything you need for the test this morning. Grape juice and No2 Ticonderogas are just inside the door.

QUICK REVIEW OF EACH SECTION

1 Reading

Set yourself for each passage before reading. Get the title, author, year, and any extra statements about the passage.

The first paragraph is the most important. Walk in then speed up.

Keep a focused pace through the passage. Treat charts or graphs like a small paragraph.

Keep moving! Be careful not to let your pace drift.

2 Writing and Language

Read the title of each passage.

Read carefully through the passage and answer questions as you go.

Keep a good pace and remember to connect with the author's topic, style, and tone.

Don't waste a second. Don't skip a word. Every word counts.

Keep moving! Be careful not to let your pace drift.

MATH

Remember the SAT math questions often times have a clever path. Read through the entire question and give yourself a few extra seconds of thought before jumping too quickly into a method.

Keep moving! Get the easy questions first, then the hard ones.

Basic formulas are given on the first page of each of the math sections.

Last-minute preppers will be sharing every junk tip and trick in the book this morning before the test. DO NOT LISTEN! National Merit looks at the upper 99%. Trying something new (particularly if it’s stupid) the day of the test is a perfect way to wreck your score.

Stick to your plan!

GREAT PSAT GROUP!

You've put in good prep leading up to today!

Remember your best performances! Let them lead you through the test this morning. Remember the performances that were not so great. Let those guide you through the tougher questions.

Stay calm.

READ CAREFULLY!

THINK CLEARLY!

KEEP A GOOD PACE!

Listen to the Rocky Theme again on you way to school.

(Don't text and drive.)
